Evan Almighty: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture debuted on July 3, 2007,[1] several days before the film's U.S. release, while the soundtrack debuted on June 19, 2007.[2] "Revolution" was performed by Rascal Flatts in the film.[3] Their version is not on the soundtrack, but it appears as a bonus track on their album Still Feels Good.[4] Also not included on the soundtrack are Elton John's 2006 hit, "Just Like Noah's Ark" of which only a little bit is heard during the start of building the ark, and John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change", used in the main ark-building montage. A music video for "Ready For a Miracle" by American country pop recording artist, LeAnn Rimes, was released as a promotion for the soundtrack.

Rascal Flatts' version of "Revolution" peaked at number fifty-seven on the Hot Country Songs charts,[4] and "The Power of One" by Bomshel reached number fifty-two on the same.[5]
